1. Open the scanner
From an event, choose Open scanner. It works in any phone browser — there's nothing
to install.
2. Scan tickets
The page asks for camera access and decodes each ticket's QR code on the device. A scan
shows green (admitted), amber (already checked in, with when and by which device) or red
(not valid for this event), along with the attendee name.
3. Create a check-in link for volunteers without accounts
From the same event, Check-in links is a separate button next to Open scanner. Owners
and managers can create a check-in link there — a shareable URL with a label like
"Front door" that works without a login. It expires automatically six hours after the
event ends, or you can revoke it sooner.
4. Check in without signal
Once the check-in page has loaded, it keeps working offline: it caches the event's ticket
list and queues scans made without a connection, syncing them once you're back online. If
two devices somehow check the same ticket in twice, the first one recorded wins, and the
losing device is shown the conflict.
5. What happens when the event ends
The cached ticket list is cleared automatically 24 hours after the event ends, on logout,
and as soon as a check-in link expires or is revoked.
