1. Choose your tickets
On the event page, pick a ticket type and quantity. Every price shown already includes the
booking fee — the breakdown underneath shows the ticket price and the fee separately, so
there's nothing extra added later.
2. Add-ons and donations
Some events also sell items, like a T-shirt, and take donations, shown beneath the ticket
types. An item carries the same kind of booking fee as a ticket. A donation never does —
only Stripe's own card processing fee is deducted from what reaches the organiser, and
checkout tells you roughly how much that leaves. If the event's tickets and items are all
free, that donation also covers Stripe's small fixed charge for the payment, and checkout
says so.
If the organiser is a registered charity, you can tick a Gift Aid declaration against your
donation and give your full name and home address — never on a ticket or item, only ever
on the donation itself, since Gift Aid can't apply where you're getting something back.
3. Enter your details
Give your name and email address. For events that admit more than one person per ticket,
or that ask for attendee names, you'll be asked for exactly the names needed — no more, no
fewer.
4. Pay
Paid orders go through Stripe. If every ticket in your order is free, there's no payment
step at all.
5. Get your tickets
A confirmation email arrives with a QR code ticket for each admission, the event details,
and a calendar file so it's one tap to add the event to your calendar.
6. Manage your tickets afterwards
The confirmation email includes a manage-tickets link — no account needed. See
finding and transferring tickets.
